ย All the waste we collect is transported to our approved waste transfer stations. There, the waste is separated and recycled. We have a 0% to landfill policy. The transfer stations we work with send any waste that cannot be recycled to a EFW facility so the waste can be turned into energy as fuel for the national grid!
After the collection you will be emailed a Waste Transfer Note which is your proof your waste has been transferred and our now our responsibility to dispose of.
Once you have obtained and agreed your quote, our team will schedule the collection at a convenient day and time for you. You can either pay in advance if you are not going to be present or you can pay on the day. Our drivers can accept cash or card payments.ย ย
This all depends on the volume and weight of what you want to be collected. We work on volume and weight basis. All of our rubbish removal loads clearly state the volume, weight and time allocation. If you are unsure about the amount of waste you have you can always send a picture to the team, who will be happy to provide you with a free quote. We understand it can be tricky to estimate how much waste you have, so we also offer flexible collections, this allows you to add more or lessย on the day, perfect if your moving and decluttering!
Our minimum collection size is 1 cubic Yard, or 1 single item, such as a mattress. Our maximum load sizes are 14 cubic yards. We can arrange multiple visits in 1 day or other a course of days if you have an especially large clearance that you need to take care of.
We accept all bulky non hazardous waste, such as furniture, general rubbish from a loft clear-out, house move, packaging etc. We accept all electrical waste (WEEE waste). Paint and other hazardous items are changed separately and we provide the pricing for these wen we provide a quote or when you book online.

Our Office hours our 8am – 5pm. However,we can collect at anytime you require. Our standard hours of operation for collections are 7am to 6pm. we provide 2 hour time slots for our arrival, at no extra cost.ย
No, our team will collect loose waste. You do have a time allocation in your booking so ensure it can be collected in that time. We do all the lifting, removing and recycling of items.ย
We work with local charities in Cambridge, Norwich and Ipswich to make sure anything that can be reused, is sent to a good home.ย
Same day in most cases if you book before 11am. If you require same day booking it is always best to call the team on 01603 60 40 11 so we can make sure to fit you in.ย You can also see our availability when booking online, although, if you do not see a time and date that you need, please speak to the team and we will do our best to accommodate you.
You do not need to be home for your collection. Just leave the items outside and the YorJunk team will collect the items. We send you before and after pictures to show that the collection is complete. To arrange this, simply book the collection online here . If you are not going to be present, you would just need to pay for the collection when you make the booking. Alternatively, speak to the team on 01603 60 40 11 and we can arrange all this for you.
